Dr. Solomon Kipkoech Biography

Dr. Solomon Kipkoech is a Reforestation Expert with over 10 years’ experience in research and rehabilitation of degraded ecosystems including mangroves, drylands, wetlands, riparian forests among other terrestrial ecosystems. Dr. Kipkoech holds a PhD in Botany from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and has worked with numerous organizations on various aspects of Forestry and Environment conservation. He has coordinated marine and terrestrial reforestation programs in various parts of Kenya and Tanzania. He exhibits exquisite skills in plant taxonomy, species-site-matching, island planting, agroforestry, silviculture and propagation of difficult trees. In his free time, Solomon enjoys hiking and walking in forests while at home he enjoys taking care of plants in his compound.
